INTERNATIONAL TECHNOLOGY CORPORATION <br /> IT Corporation has internal procedures for hazardous waEte operations. <br /> The procedures relevant to this site will be attached and are as follows: <br /> • Hazardous Materials Site Mitigation (ITC PRO 9532.A) <br /> • Hazardous Waste Uperations and Emergency Response (ITC PRO <br /> 9532.10A) <br /> The OSHA PEL for gasoline vapor is 300 ppm averaged over an eight-hour <br /> period. The 15-minute short term exposure limit is 500 ppm. To ensure that <br /> no project workers are over-exposed to hydrocarbon vapor IT has instituted a <br /> �., project standard of 50 ppm for gasoline vapor. Respiratory equipment is <br /> required above this level. <br /> V.8 PROTECTIVE MEASURES <br /> V.8.1 Personnel Protection: <br /> All project personnel shall wear safety glasses, safety boots or shoes, long- <br /> sleeved shirts and pants. When in the immediate vicinity of drilling <br /> operations, personnel shall also wear hearing protection. Personnel will wear <br /> nitrile gloves, neoprene boots and polytyvek coveralls when handling <br /> potentially gasoline contaminated soils and liquids. Please see the attached <br /> ITC Procedures 95610 and 95600 for descriptions of IT's respirator: and <br /> personal protective equipment programs. <br /> V.8.2 Utilitites: <br /> During drilling or boring activities, the drill rig shall be at least ten feet <br /> _.. from overhead power lines. <br /> 9 <br /> �:: SER300 <br />
