To prevent rain events from filling the secondary containment a roof will be constructed over the <br /> carbon units. <br /> MANIFOLD TREATMENT SYSTEM TO EXCAVATION WELL <br /> Prior to resurfacing the excavated/backfill area a traffic vault was placed in the area of the future <br /> groundwater recovery well. This vault is manifolded to a utility box with underground piping to <br /> house water return lines, vacuum lines, electrical lines and sensor lines. A utility trench will need <br /> to be dug from the utility box to the treatment compound with the placement of two 4 inch Sch 80 <br /> PVC and two 1 inch electrical PVC piping. This piping will house the necessary water recovery <br /> lines, vapor recovery lines, electrical and sensor lines necessary to operate the pumps and <br /> controllers for water/vapor recovery from the excavation well. <br /> MODIFICATION TO SEWER DISCHARGE PERMIT <br /> The current sewer discharge permit is for the discharge of treated groundwater produced during <br /> well purging for quarterly groundwater sampling events. This permit will require modification for <br /> a continuous pump and treatment system. . <br /> TIME FRAME <br /> After approval of this workplan: <br /> 1 week Submit RFB (request for bid) estimates to drilling contractors and general <br /> contractors to drill and install wells and to complete the treatment compound <br /> with necessary manifolding and secondary containment construction. <br /> 4 weeks Evaluate bids and award contracts to qualified contractors. <br /> 5 weeks Submit necessary permits to perform drilling/well installations. <br /> After approval of permits: <br /> 1 week Notify all concern of schedule date for drilling and trenching start dates. <br /> Work commencement schedule date: <br /> 48 hour prior notification of drilling activities to all concerned <br /> 48 hour prior notification of treatment system trenching/treatment compound construction. <br /> 1 week Completion of drilling and well installation <br /> 2 week Completion of well development <br /> 1 week Completion of trenching, manifolding and treatment compound construction. <br /> 2 week Placement of groundwater recovery pump into well and start-up of pump <br /> and treatment system. <br /> 7 Sanchez WORKPLAN 9-03 <br />
