STEP DRAWDOWN TEST RWIA.
To get some idea of the practicality of de-watenng the A-zone sand a step drawdown test will be
performed in RWIA The test will be performed by placing a variable speed Grundfos pump to
RWIA The water will be pumped through carbon to the sanitary sewer under variance from the
Stockton sewer district This test will last a period of eight hours During the test, the pump rate
will be increased in steps, starting at one gallon per minute As the drawdown in the well reaches
equilibrium, the pump rate will be increased in one gallon per minute increments
Downhole pressure transducers will be used to collect drawdown information from PZIA, PZ1B,
PZ2A, PZ213 M W 1, RWIA, and RWIB The top of water will be sounded in the other wells
periodically with the depth to water meter and the time of the measurement and the depth to water
will be recorded The results of the test will be evaluated by developing both distance drawdown
and drawdown over time graphs for the wells
STEP DRAWDOWN TEST RWIB
To determine the practicality of de-watering the B-Zone a Step Drawdown test will be performed
in RWIB The test will be performed by placing a variable speed Grundfos pump in RWIB The
water will be pumped through carbon to the sanitary sewer under variance from the Stockton sewer
district This test will last eight hours During the test, the pump rate will be increased in steps,
starting at one gallon per minute As the drawdown in the well reaches equilibrium, the pump rate
will be increased in one gallon per minute increments
Downhole pressure transducers will be used to collect drawdown information from PZIA, PZ I B,
MA, PZ213 MW1, RWIA, and RWIB Depth to water in the other surrounding wells will be
measured periodically with the depth to water meter and recorded The results of the test will be
evaluated by developing both distance drawdown and drawdown over time graphs for the wells
24 HOUR CONS TAINT RATE PUMP TEST RWIA
To determine the aquifer properties of the upper sand (A Zone) a constant rate pump test will be
performed from RWIA The pump will be placed 2n RWIA and water will be pumped for 24
hours at a rate that will not convert the well from confined to unconfined conditions, as predicted
from the earlier step drawdown test
Downhole pressure transducers will be used to collect drawdown information from PZIA, PZIB,
PZ2A, PZ2B M W I, RWIA, and RW l B Depth to water in the other surrounding wells will be
measured periodically with the depth to water meter and recorded The results of the test will be
evaluated by developing both distance drawdown and drawdown over time graphs for the wells
Of particular interest in this test will be the early data, which should show the arrival of the
drawdown cone at each of the wells Also of interest will be the drawdown patterns in the lower
zone, which if the clay is a significant aquitard, should form a cone originating at MWl
3
Rev Pump Test Plan- 10/11/02
