(For examples, see Appendix VI) <br /> TRAINING <br /> Personnel must be trained and be competent in: <br /> (A) Sample Handling (including collection, preservation and custody) ; <br /> (B) Operation of treatment and monitoring equipment; <br /> (C) Maintenance of treatment and monitoring equipment_ <br /> The performance of these tasks can only occur after training is completed. <br /> Training records for each employee should be kept by the Supervisor. These records will <br /> be furnished by the discharger during the annual pretreatment <br /> employee training, inspection to verify <br /> QUALITY ASSURANCE PROGRAM! REVIEW APIA EVALUATION <br /> It is expected that the appropriate industrial representative of the discharger will <br /> regularly review the performance of the pretreatment system and sampling procedures to <br /> ensure that the requirements of the QA Program are being met. <br /> At the time of the annual pretreatment inspection, QA records will be provided to the <br /> City's inspector. An evaluation of the program will be accomplished by review of: <br /> (A) Training Records; <br /> (B) Custody Records; <br /> (C) Self-Monitoring and QC sample results; <br /> (D) Logbooks; <br /> (£) Samples taken independently by the City of Stockton. <br /> A decision regarding the future monitoring requirements off-a discharger will be based <br /> on compliance with effluent limitations (as stated in the Wastewater Discharge Permit) , <br /> and the results of the QA program evaluation. <br /> Since the QA program is an integral part of any self-monitoring required in Wastewater <br /> Discharge Permits, inadequate program implementation or documentation will be a <br /> violation of Permit conditions, and will be handled according to City of Stockton <br /> enforcement procedures. <br /> 4 <br />
