However, if requested, they can be completed as 2-inch wells at
a slightly lower cost.
TASK 3--GROUNDWATER SAMPLING
Groundwater sampling will occur within one week after well installation. The elevations of the
wells will be surveyed and the depth to groundwater will be measured before water samples are
collected. One sample will be collected from each of the three on-site wells.
TASK 4--LABORATORY ANALYSIS
According to San Joaquin County's Contaminated site list, both leaded and unleaded gasoline have
been stored at this site. Previous soil sampling has detected gasoline-range hydrocarbons, as well
as benzene, toluene, ethlybenzene, and xylene. Therefore,a maximum of ten(10)soil samples and
all three(3)water samples will be analyzed for the following compounds:
TPH-gasoline(EPA methods 8015m and 602)
BTE&X(EPA method 8020)
Total lead(EPA method 7420)
TASK 5--REPORT
The results of this investigation will be presented in a Quarterly Report. The report will describe
the procedures used and provide recommendations regarding any additional work that may be
necessary or appropriate.
TASK 6—QUARTERLY MONITORING
Because contaminated groundwater has been previously detected at this site, groundwater
monitoring will probably be required for at least one year after well installation. The depth to
groundwater will be measured on a quarterly basis and groundwater samples will be collected for
analysis. The results of each monitoring event will be summarized in a Quarterly Report.
ESTIMATED COSTS
Task 1: Work Plan&Permit $ 550
Task 2: Drilling and Sampling $3,700
Task 3: Groundwater Sampling $ 500
Task 4: Lab Analysis $1,235
Task 5: Report $1,170
Total: $7,155 06
