UPte'adien,'*wEnvironmental G, .dsultants
December 23, 1999
Mr.David Echeverria
2071 Country Club Blvd.
Stockton,-CA 95204
Subject: Einvironmental Investigation at Kwikee Foods
2081 Country Club Boulevard
Stockton
Dear Mr.Echeverria:
You may recall that I contacted you in July, 1998 requesting permission to drill an
environmental test well on your property in connection with the investigation that our
.company is conducting at Kwikee Foods. I have enclosed a copy of your response letter
as a reminder.
That investigation wa&postponed for a number of reasons, but is scheduled to go forward
early in the year 2000. San Joaquin County Environmental Health Division has given our
client until February 22 to drill the required wells, and we have scheduled a drilling
company for January 21 and 24. At this time it is not absolutely certain that we will need
to drill on your property, but if so,I would expect it to take place on the 24th.If this is
still acceptable to you, would you mind signing your letter again with the current date?
Or,if you prefer, you could write a new letter so indicating.I'm sure that the County
would want to be sure that you have not changed-your mind since your 1998 letter was
written.
You should be aware that if we do drill a well on your property, the County would
probably require us to sample it periodically for at least a year.Usually the sampling takes
place about every three months. Once the County is satisfied that the groundwater
beneath your property is not contaminated,we would be given permission to remove the
well, plug the hole, and restore the location to its pre-existing condition(grass, etc.).
Thank you for your cooperation.
Sin erel ;
Victor B.
