A cable <br /> attachment pad shall be seal welded to the bottom under the gauge float <br /> 2. The pad plate shall be minimum 12"larger than the distance between the cables x 12"wide x 114"thick A-36 <br /> Modified steel plate. Lugs,with holes for attachment of the cables,shall be welded to the pati. <br /> 3. Position the plate under the gauge float cables. <br /> 4. • 1 •• The correct position of the pad shall verified by a BP representative <br /> S. The pad plate shall be Installed as follows: <br /> a. Clean area where pad plate is to be installed. <br /> b. The uide wires shall be attached to the lugs on the pad. <br /> 7. • • •• The complete work shall be visually inspected by a SP representative. <br /> Discharge Shell Nozzle Replacement <br /> (REM 41 CODE 3)(REM 9/CODE 5) <br /> 1. The existing 2"Shell Coupling"I"(Discharge)does not have adequate weld spacing in compliance with API- <br /> 653 minimum weld spacing requirements.The existing threaded coupling shall be removed and replaced <br /> with a new 2"ganged shell nozzle in the same location.The new 2"ANSI 150#flanged low profile shell <br /> nozzle shall be as shown below. The installation shall comply wM API-653 and API-650 weld spacing <br /> requirements.The installation shall comply with API-650 Figure 5-6. Note:The 211 ganged nozzle may be a <br /> 2"long weld neck Range nozzle. <br /> 2. • 1 • The BP representative shall document and record the horizontal and vertical weld spacing for <br /> the new reinforced 2"flanged nozzle installation.The weld spacing shall not be less then that shown in the <br /> drawings. <br /> 3. All material specifications shall he in accordance with API-650 Figure 4-1 thickness for design metal <br /> temperature as derived from Figure 4-2.All material shall meet the impact testing and toughness <br /> requirements of API-650. <br /> 4. The 2"flanged nozzle shall be installed in accordance with API-650 Figure 5-8 and Tables 5-6,5-7 and 5-8. <br /> The shelkto�nozzle weld shag be complete and full penetration.The nozzle neck shall be welded on both <br /> inside and outside of the tank shell.The initial weld shall be completed, back-gouged and inspected,final <br /> weld shall be completed. <br /> 5. Paint shall be removed from the area where cut out is to be made. <br /> 6. The tank shell cut out shall match that of the nozzle size with proper allowance for weld fit-up in accordance <br /> with thea roved welding procedure.The nozzle shall be tacked in place. <br /> 7. • • •• The rn-up of the nozzle shall be visually inspected(VT)by a BP representative for compliance <br /> with the approved welding procedure. <br /> B. All nozzle-to-shell welding shall be full fillet welded complete fusion and complete penetration u5lizing E701 <br /> electrodes.The nozzle shall be welded both internally and externally.The filet size shall be as shown in the <br /> attached drawing. <br /> 1. Nozzle-tcShell Weld Testing and Inspection. <br /> a. • • • The completed initial shall be visually inspected(VT)by a BP representative. <br /> b. 1 •• The completed final weld shall be visually inspected(Vr)by a BP representative. <br /> c. • • The completed welds shall be Magnetic Panicle examined(MT)by NDE contractor,both <br /> interior and exterior,and wOnessed by a BP representative. <br /> 2. The flange shall be aligned and plumb with boll holes straddle the centerline.The flange welds shall be full <br /> and cam lets,fillet welds utilizing E7018 electrodes. <br /> a. • 1 "• The welds shall be visually inspected(VT)by a BP representative. <br /> 9. A new 2"gate valve shall be installed an the 2"150#flange nozzle with new gasket and lubricated stud <br /> bolts/nuts. <br />
