CAT - 6W201010:25 AM PAGE: 12oflg <br /> New Thermal Relief Assembly <br /> (ITEM 101 CODE 3) <br /> 1. One(1)new 2"Shell Nozzle(Thermal Relief)shall be installed near the existing inlet nozzle. A 2'Schedule <br /> 80-150#R.F.Long Weld Neck Flange nozzle shall be installed in the tank shell adjacent to the product <br /> nozzle.The installation shall comply with API-650 Figure 5-6 weld spacing requirements. A 2"sockolet shall <br /> be installed on product line on the"pipeline'side of Bre tank valve. <br /> 2. The pressure relief valve shall be Crosby 961102M or Consolidated 1990C, 1%MNPT x 1'-FNPT. Set <br /> ressures shall be site specific and determined by the BP representative. <br /> 3. • • •• The Pressure Relief Valves shall be visually inspected(VT)by a BP representative for <br /> determination of Make,Model No.,inlet&outlet connections,orifice size, relieving capacity and pressure <br /> selling.The BP representative shall document and record the Pressure Relief Valves data. <br /> 4. The pressure relief system shall consist of one 2"1509 RF Flanged Vogt 353,or equal,gate valve and one V <br /> 150#RF Flanged Vogt 353,or equal,gate valve. See drawing below. <br /> S. All pressure relief system ball valves(at test locations)shall be Y"Apollo#73-103 ides,or equal,carbon <br /> steel threaded ball valves. <br /> 6. All pipe and nipples shall be Schedule 80 A-106-B carbon steel pipe.All fittings;i.e.elbows,unions,tees, <br /> couplings,sockolets,inserts,plugs;shall be 3,0009 Socket-Weld,Forged Steel,A-105 with socket weld <br /> connections. <br /> 7. All pressure relief piping and fittings shall be socket welded,except for the pressure relief valve connection <br /> which shall be screwed in the existing piping.Ail threaded connections shall be cleaned and male threads <br /> wrapped with 5 to 7 wraps of Teflon tape.The wrapped threads shall also be coated with a quality thread <br /> lubdcantfsealant. <br /> S. The 2"flanged nozzle connection to the tank shall be installed in accordance with API-650 Figure 5-6.The <br /> nozzle neck shall be welded on both inside and outside of the tank shell utilizing E7018 electrodes. <br /> 9. Paint shall be removed from the area where cut out is to be made. <br /> 10. The tank shell cut out shall match that of the nozzle size with proper allowance for weld fit-up in accordance <br /> with the approved welding procedure.The nozzle shall be inserted Into the shell hole so that the nozzle is <br /> flush with the internal surface of the tank shell. All internal shell welds shall be blend ground to avoid damage <br /> to the floatino roof seals.The nozzle shall be tacked in place <br /> 11. • • •• The fit-up of the nozzle shall be visually Inspected by a SP representative for compliance with <br /> the approved welding procedure. <br /> 12. The nozzle-to-ahell weld shall be a minimum full penetration and complete fusion 114'full fillet weld all around <br /> utilizing E7018 electrodes. <br /> 13. Nozzle-toShell Weld Testing and Inspection. <br /> a. • • •• The interior weld final pass shall be visually inspected(VT)by a BP representative. <br /> b. • • '• The exterior weld final pass shall be visually inspected(VT)by a SP representative. <br /> C. • • •• The completed welds shall be Magnetic Particle examined(MT)by NDE contractor,both <br /> interior and exterior,and witnessed by a Be representative. <br /> d. • • • • All areas shall be visually inspected(VT)by a BP represantstive. <br /> 14. The inside edge of the socket weld fittings shall be weld prepared with a chamfer before assembly.The fit-up <br /> of ell nt les into the socket weld fittings shall include a 1f8'internal gap at the bottom of the socket <br /> 15. Zia •• The fit-up of the piping inside socket weld fitting shall be visually inspected by a BP <br /> representative for compliance with the approved welding procedure. <br /> 16. All socketwelds shall be a minimum of 2 pass and no more than 3 passes full fillet weld all around utilizing <br /> E6010(mot)and E7018(cap&fill)electrodes. <br /> 17. Socket Weld Testing and Inspection. <br /> a. JE13MThe weld root pass shall be visually inspected(VT)by a BP representative. <br /> b. • • '• The weld final pass shall be visually inspected(VT)by a SP representative. <br /> C. •• The completed welds shall be Dye Penetrant examined(PT)by NDE contractor and <br /> witnessed by a SP representative. <br /> 18. The pressure relief piping shall be hydrotesled to 1.5 times the relief valve set pressure. The piping shall be <br /> drained and Mown dry after the test. <br /> 19. • •• The completed installation shall be visually inspected by 2 BP representative. <br />
