13 July 2012
AGE-NC Project No.96-0236
Page 4 of 13
Sampleswere submitted to Cal-Tech Environmental Laboratories forthe constituents listed
in section 3.1.
4.0. FINDINGS
Field measurements and laboratory analyses of ground water samples were utilized to
evaluate the effectiveness of the ISCO pilot test injections.
4.1. FIELD PARAMETERS
Baseline field parameters were collected on 13 January 2012. Additionally, progress field
parameters were collected during each ISCO injection event (ISCO Injection Event Nos.
1-4), while post-ISCO injection field parameters were collected on 25 April 2012, and on
02, 09, 16 May 2012. Field parameters collected during the baseline, progress and post-
ISCO injection are summarized in Table 2.
4.1.1. Baseline Field Parameters Results
On 13 January2012,field parameters as described in section 3.1 were collected from wells
MW-1A, MW-2, MW-5, MW-9, DPE-1 and DPE-2 as part of a baseline ground water
monitoring event prior to the pilot study injections (Table 2). The following is a summary
of the results:
• Depth to ground water measurements ranged between 9.90(DPE-1)feet below the
top of the well casing (btoc; DPE-1) and 11.91 feet btoc (MW-5);
• pH ranged from 6.71(MW-9) to 7.06 (MW-5);
• Specific Conductivity(SC) ranged from 859 micro siemens per centimeter(NS/cm;
MW-2) to 1,204 pS/cm (MW-9);
• Temperature ranged from 20.2 (MW-5) to 23.0 degrees Celsius (°C; DPE-2);
• Dissolved oxygen (DO) ranged from 1.54 (DPE-2)to 3.47 milligrams per liter(mg/l;
MW-2) and from 17.1 to 38.1 percent (%), respectively;
• Oxygen reduction potential (ORP) ranged from -286.9 millivolts (mV; MW-1A) to
-72.2 mV (MW-5);
• Salinity ranged from 0.70 (MW-2) to 1.19 (MW-9); and
Advanced GeoEnvironmental,Inc.
