enviros,
Request for Well Down-gradient of Well MW-4
In response to your request for a well down-gradient of Well MW-4, we propose to move
the well which was originally proposed by Fugro on the St. Bernadette's Church property.
The proposed well would be moved to the northeast of MW-4. This is appropriate for
several reasons:
• This would place the well down-gradient from Well MW-4 and source areas on the
Shell site.
• The location originally proposed by Fugro for the well is in fact inaccessible due to
the presence of trees.
• This proposed location remains on the St. Bernadette's property, thus no additional
right of entry agreements will be necessary.
Status of Right of Entry and Encroachment Agreements
Right of entry for the St. Bernadette's Church property has been granted.
Application for encroachment permits was made to the City of Stockton on July 23, 1996.
They replied with a request for a certificate of insurance from Shell. Since Shell is self-
insured, documents verifying financial responsibility were forwarded to the city on
September 23, 1996 to address the insurance requirement. We have not yet received a
reply from the city as to whether this information was sufficient to meet their requirements.
Upon receipt of the encroachment permit, copies of it and the right of entry agreement will
be forwarded to you along with appropriate SJCPHS well permit applications and fees for
permitting of the wells.
If you have any question, please call me at (707) 935-4852.
Sincerely
Envirjs,, I
Diane M.
