7 Eleven #14117 page 2
2725 Country Club Blvd., Stockton CA.
MW-1 and MW-2 have shown a consistent rise in groundwater contamination this
year. MtBE in MW-1 has reached 9,600 ug/I on November 5, 2001, up from
7,200 ug/I on September 25, 2001 and 1,700 ug/I on May 23, 2001. Additionally
MW-2 has had a significant rise in concentrations in the groundwater of TBA,
now at 98,000 ug/I. Previous TBA concentrations for this well were 26,000 ug/I
on May 23, 2001 and then 65,000 ug/I on September 25, 2001. These rises in
contaminant levels in these wells located in the UST area could suggest a failure
of the containment system. Please take immediate steps to verify that the UST
system is tight. PHS-EHD UST inspectors will be contacting you to schedule a
full inspection of the UST system.
Please direct your submittals to Michael Infurna and you may call him at (209)
468-3454 should you have any questions.
Donna Heran, REHS, Director
Environmental Health Division
Michael J.
