I am pleased to know that
you will collect a soil sample at five feet below surface grade from proposed AS-5. Hopefully I will be present
when you collect this sample.
Nuel Henderson, PG, is out of the office today. I will discuss your proposal to monitor MW-7 instead of MW-106
when Nuel returns.
Vicki McCartney, Senior REHS
San Joaquin County
Environmental Health Department
1868 East Hazelton Avenue
Stockton, California 95205
Phone: (209)468-9852
Email: vmccartney(a sicehd.com
From: Andrew Dorn [mailto:AndrewD@gtienv.com]
Sent: Thursday, June 20, 2013 11:21 AM
To: Vicki McCartney [EH]
Cc: Ray Kablanow; Jenny Weese
Subject: George's Service - 1600 W. Durham Ferry Rd., Tracy
Good morning Vicky,
I am contacting you in regards to the George's Service site located at 1600 W. Durham Ferry Rd.
southeast of Tracy. I would like to let you know that we will be installing the air sparge wells on Friday,
June 21 starting at 7 am.
AS-5 location
Upon looking at pictures of the soil excavation, it appears the excavation sidewall parallel to the sites
building came within 2 or 3 feet of the building foundation at a slope of about 45 degrees. The revised
location of AS-5 will be as close to the building as the drill rig will allow ("'4-5 feet)and should initially
begin in the excavation fill and enter the native soil below prior to 5 feet bgs.Soil samples will be
collected from the AS-5 borehole every five feet starting at 5 feet bgs.
Monthly performance monitoring
GZA is currently collecting DO and ORP readings from select groundwater monitoring wells, including
down-gradient off-site well MW-106.We are currently having trouble getting an access agreement from
6/20/2013
