' Cieolo &4(Tec idd <br /> $ I&C Page 7 <br /> Groundwater Monitoring Report <br /> Project No 425 2 <br /> May 10,2005 <br /> ' Domestics Wells: <br /> • All the tested domestic wells have been non-detect for tested gasoline constitutes This <br /> ' implies the good quality of drinking water is free from gasoline constituents <br /> Additional Tested Parameters: <br /> ' • Dissolved Oxygen measurements are on the low to moderate end of the scale, ranging <br /> between 0 33 and 2 07 ppm (Table 9) <br /> • Oxidation-Reduction Potential (ORP) is found lowest in MW-2 (Table 9) However, it <br /> appears that the instrument was not working for any of the wells during this quarter <br /> monitoring event and in fact possibly even last monitoring event as well <br /> ' 4.0 <br /> CONCLUSIONS AND RECOMMENDATIONS <br /> ' Conclusions <br /> ' 1 Zone A groundwater historically flows in a northerly direction <br /> 2 Zone B groundwater shows a northwesterly flow over the Iast six monitoring events <br /> 3 The dominance of upward vertical flow of groundwater may be the primary reason <br /> contaminants have not impacted the drinking water aquifer <br /> 4 Petroleum hydrocarbon concentrations in the groundwater at the site fluctuate with each <br /> monitoring event The residual contamination in soil, up gradient of MW-2, remains a <br /> ' significant source of impact to the groundwater plume <br /> 5 Generally the soil and groundwater testing data suggests that the contaminants are <br /> spreading laterally, but not vertically to any extent <br /> 6 The three domestic wells sampled remain non-detect for all analyzed constituents, <br /> indicating that the drinking water aquifer has not been impacted <br /> ' Recommendations <br /> The following recommendations are made <br /> 1 Continue quarterly groundwater monitoring events <br /> 2 An interim remedial action plan has been submitted and implementation is pending <br /> approval of the plan by the County and cost approval by the Fund <br />' <br /> 5.0 LIMITATIONS <br />' This report was prepared in accordance with the generally accepted standard of care and <br /> practice in effect at the time Services were rendered It should be recognized that definition <br />' and evaluation of environmental conditions is an inexact science and that the state or practice <br /> of environmental geology/hydrology is changing and evolving and that standards existing at <br /> the present time may change as knowledge increases and the state of the practice continues to <br /> improve Further, that differing subsurface soil characteristics can be experienced within a <br />
