(Delta),has been authorized by his.Stella Ruiz, the owner of the <br /> property,to prepare this Phase 1 Hydrogeologic Investigation Work Plan for the installation of additi:uu <br /> monitoring wells on site in order to define the areal extent of the dissolved petroleum hydrocarbon plume. <br /> The site is located at 4491 West Durham Ferry Road,Tracy,California(Figure 1). <br /> �.r <br /> F. <br /> 1.1 Scope of Work <br /> 1 ' Delta proposes the following activities to accomplish this objective: <br /> Drill three 8-inch-diameter and one 3 1/l inch-diameter soil borings to depths of app:o)cimately <br /> J 30 feet(monitoring wells)and 15 feet(soil borings)and convert two of them to 2-inch-diameter <br /> monitoring wells. <br /> Collect soil samples at 5-foot intervals with a modified California sampler for classification <br /> according to the Unified Soil Classification System(USCS). <br /> Screen recovered soil samples Vah a portable photoinization detector(PID)for total organic <br /> _ vapour <br /> Select and submit four soil samples to a state-certified laboratory for chemical analysis using <br /> P <br /> U.S.Environmental Protection Agency(EPA)Method 80151$020 modified for total petroleum <br /> hydrocarbons(TPH)and benzene,toluene,ethybenzene,and xylenes(BTEX)with a I0-working- <br /> day turnaround. <br /> • Stockpile soil cuttings from drilling on visquine and store on site. <br /> i <br /> w t/ • <br /> Develop each monitoring well and contain all discharge water in_55-gallon drums-to-be stored T_ _ <br /> on site - <br />
