QUARTERLY GROUND WATER MONITORING REPORT
First Quarter of 1992
4491 West Durham Ferry Road
Delta Project No 40-91-732
Page 3
3.0 RESULTS
3.1 Ground Water Elevation Data
Depth to ground water measurements were collected on April 9, 1992, from monitoring wells MW-1,MW-2
and MW-3 Ground water elevations are surnriiarized in Table 1. Approximately 0.03 foot of free-phase
petroleum hydrocarbon product (product) was measured in monitoring well MW-1 on April 9, 1992 The
' ground water elevation was adjusted in monitoring well MW-1 by multiplying the product duclmess of
0 03 foot by the density of the product(approximately 0 75 relative to the density of water)and then adding
' it to the ground water elevation A water table contour map (Figure 3) was generated from ground water
elevation data collected on April 9, 1992 The inferred ground water flow direction was toward the
' northeast at a hydraulic gradient of approximately 0 006 Water table contour maps generated in the past
indicate ground water flow directions to have been toward the southeast on September 4, 1991, and toward
the east-northeast on October 13 and 20, 1991
TABLE 1
Ground Water Elevation Data
Date Elevation of Depth to Ground Water
Morutoring Well Measured Toa of Casing' Ground Water ft Elevation (ft)a
' MW-1 09/04/91 9844 9.46 8898
10/13/91 1081 8763
10/20/91 11 15 8729
' 04/09/92 1493 83 53*
MW-2 09/04/91 9904 1021 8883
10/13/91 1122 8782
' 10/20/91 1165 8739
04/09/92 1529 8375
' MW-3 09/04/91 9743 867 8876
10/13/91 1010 87.33
10/20/91 1062 8681
' 04/09/92 1435 8308
a Relative to an assumed elevation of 100 feet
* Ground water elevation adjusted due to presence of 0 03 feet of free-phase petroleum hydrocarbons
RPT116 I WIB
