1 <br /> QUARTERLY GROUND WATER MONITORING REPORT <br /> First Quarter of 1992 <br /> 4491 West Durham Ferry Road <br /> Delta Project No 40-91-732 <br /> Page 4 <br /> a.2 Ground Water Analytical Results <br />' Ground water samples were collected on April 9, 1992, from monitoring wells MW-1, MW-2 and MW-3 <br /> and were submitted to a Califorrua-certified laboratory for analysis of benzene, toluene, ethylbenzene and <br /> ' xylenes (BTEX�, total petroleum hydrocarbons (TPH) as gasoline and diesel No 2, 1,2-Dlchloroethane <br /> (EDC) and ethylene dibromide (EDB) by Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) Method 8260 and <br /> ' extracted by EPA Method 5030 (purge-and-trap) Field data sheets are presented in Appendix A <br /> Ms Mary Mays from the county was on site to observe the sampling protocols during the ground water <br /> sampling event <br /> Chemical analyses of the ground water from monitoring wells MW-1 and MW-2 Indicated the presence of <br /> TPH as gasoline at concentrations of 48,000 and 2,400 ppb, respectively TPH as gasoline in monitoring <br /> well MW-3, and TPH as diesel No 2, EDC and EDB in monitoring wells MW-1, MW-2 and MW-3 were <br /> below Iaboratory detection Iimits Concentrations of benzene were detected in monitoring wells MW-1, <br /> MW-2 and MW-3 at 430, 1,400 and I ppb, respectively (Table 2) Benzene was the only constituent <br /> detected in downgradient monitoring well IMW-3 Copies of the certified-laboratory reports are presented <br /> in Appendix B <br /> 3.3 Free-Phase Petroleum Hydrocarbons <br /> Approximately 0 03 foot of free-phase petroleum hydrocarbons was observed In monitoring well MW-1 on <br /> April 9, 1992 <br /> 1 <br /> 1 <br /> 1 <br /> 1 <br /> RYT 116 HMB <br /> r <br />
