To date;no permits have been issued. . <br /> In the elapsed time the ground water has dropped to a depth <br /> of about 62 feet, well below the 55-feet deep monitor wells . <br /> ' (MW-3, 4 & 5) ; therefore,. these wells are of no use at present.. <br /> The contaminated tank ihole area was excavated to a depth of., <br /> 38'+, the soil aerated until clean and reused as fill material on <br /> site:' This excavation removed nearly all of the .soil identified <br /> i as contaminated in the J.H-. Kleinfelder report of April 27 , 1987; <br /> except what may be under .the building. The side walls of the <br /> excavation were generally free of hydrocarbons at depths of up to <br /> 38 feet. <br /> The one remaining tank in this area was removed in 1988 . It <br /> was not a leaker and there was minor contamination around the. <br /> fill end of the tank which was removed for aeration. <br /> x <br />
