This will be a 2"
monitor well drilled to 85 ' + deep.
MW--10 would be located about 15 ' east and 15 ' north of the
southeast corner of the shop building to investigate northerly
migration. MW-10- will be a 2" monitor well drilled to about 85 '
deep.
Nearly every ground water gradient measurement has indicated
the gradient to be about North 70 degree East. MW-11 is to be
located approximately on the gradient and about 60 to 70 feet
east of the original contaminated area. We do expect to find
contamination in this well and it may be situated in a good
location for recovery if necessary. MW-11 will be a 4" monitor
well drilled at least 85 feet deep or deeper depending on the
level of contamination found in the water .
Soil samples will be taken every five feet of depth in each
well. Based on prior investigation data, no contamination is
expected until a depth of 30+ feet. Soil samples below 30 feet
will be analyzed for TPH, B.T.X.&E. Soils above 30 feet will be
analyzed if justified by field analysis.
After data from these three wells are analyzed, a decision
will be made as to additional dri.11ing required to define the
contaminated area.
If you approve this plan, I ' ll arrange for drilling as soon
as possible. If you require further information, please do not
hesitate to contact me .
Sin erely,
etn..+•s
ames Elder, P.E.
cc : Lindeman, Teichert
