STI External Tank Inspection <br /> UPRR—Stockton yard,Stockton,CA TNKO-0295 <br /> June 2019 <br /> anteagroup <br /> 2.0 Summary <br /> 2.1 INSPECTION OVERVIEW <br /> Union Pacific Railroad(UPRR)contracted with Antea Group to provide an external STI inspection for Tank TNKO- <br /> 0295 located at the Stockton,CA Railroad yard(facility).Inspection scope included ultrasonic thickness(UT) <br /> testing. According to UPRR records,the tank construction or installation date was around 1991,however the <br /> wastewater treatment plant operator indicated the facility was constructed around 1978. No manufacturer tank <br /> plate is present on the tank.UPRR has been conducting periodic visual tank inspections on a daily basis. <br /> Photographs of the tank condition,appurtenances and thickness test locations are included as Appendix A. <br /> 2.2 SCOPE <br /> Antea Group performed a Formal External Inspection on TNKO-0295.Visual(VT)inspection and Ultrasonic <br /> Testing(UT)inspection were performed by authorized Antea Group inspector certified in STI SP001 tank <br /> standards and trained in UT thickness testing.The authorized inspector performed the tank inspection in <br /> compliance with industry standards such as STI SP001.The tank was categorized,and inspection intervals <br /> determined in accordance with(STI SP001,6th Edition,Tables A2.2 and 5.5). <br /> 2.3 FINDINGS AND RECOMMENDATIONS <br /> FOUNDATION <br /> The steel shell foundation was inspected and was in good conditions. The shell is anchored with bolts to the <br /> concrete foundation pad.Water ponds on the west side of the foundation pad adjacent to the tank. <br /> SHELL <br /> The shell was inspected,and no major issues were observed. <br /> ROOF <br /> The roof was observed from a high walkway adjacent to the tank since the tank has no roof access structure.The <br /> roof was inspected from a distance,and no major issues were observed. <br /> VENTING <br /> A primary normal vent is present at the center of the roof,due to no roof access the vent could not be inspected <br /> up close.An emergency vent was not present;however,one Is not required for the Class 3B liquid stored in the <br /> tank. <br /> APPURTENANCE <br /> The tank appurtenances were inspected,and no relevant issues were found. <br /> XINOGEN <br /> 7 usanteagroup.00m <br />
