The Discharger is cleaning up groundwater using an extraction and <br /> treatment system. <br /> This Monitoring and Reporting Program is ed pursuant to Section 13267 of <br /> the California Water Code and is neves ary elin ate groundwater pollutant plumes <br /> and determine whether remediation efforts e ive. Existing data and information <br /> about the site show the presence of various chemicals, including total petroleum <br /> hydrocarbons (TPH) as gasoline, benzene, toluene, ethylbenzene, xylenes, methyl <br /> tertiary butyl ether (MTBE), tertiary butyl alc of T A), and tertiary amyl methyl ether <br /> (TAME) emanating from the property and he trol of the Discharger. The <br /> Discharger shall not implement any chang td MRP unless and until a revised <br /> MRP is issued by the Executive Officer. Th "`M' P replaces the requirements listed in <br /> MRP No. R5-2004-0828, which was issued June 2004 and is hereby rescinded. <br /> Prior to construction of any new groundwater monitoring or extraction wells, and prior to <br /> destruction of any groundwater monitoring or raction wells, the. Discharger shall <br /> submit plans and specifications to the Boa fik iew and approval. Once installed, <br /> all new wells shall be added to the monito ' ;j;p;'.°'' am and shall be sampled and <br /> analyzed according to the schedule below. <br /> GROUNDWATER ITORING <br /> As shown on Figure 1, there are 13 monitoring wells and one extraction well. The <br /> groundwater monitoring program for the 13 monitoring wells, one extraction well, four <br /> surface water sampling locations identified as DDN, DDS, IDCE, and IDCW, and any <br /> wells installed subsequent to the issuance of this MRP, shall follow the schedule below. <br /> Monitoring wells with free phase petroleum product or visible sheen shall be monitored, <br /> at a minimum, for product thickness and depth to water. Sample collection and <br /> analysis shall follow standard EPA protocol. <br />
