Ole rsa r - McLaren/Hart <br /> Sanborn Fire Insurance Map Review <br /> EDR Sanborn, Inc was contacted to search for Sanborn insurance maps for the Site Five maps <br /> were found which encompassed the Site for the years 1895, 1917, 1950, 1952, and 1972 Copies <br /> of the maps are provided in Appendix B A summary of significant features provided on the <br /> maps is presented below <br /> 1895 <br /> In the 1895 map, the Stockton Channel extends east to North El Dorado Street, encompassing <br /> roughly half to three-quarters of the Site One business is located on the Site - the "Union <br /> Transportation Co , Freight Ware Ho " The Warehouse is present on the north side of the <br /> channel, in the vicinity of the current location of the north side of the Site parking lot No <br /> buildings are shown west or north of the Site Buildings are shown on the east side of North El <br /> Dorado Street, on both sides of Bridge Place, and include the Masonic Hall and other small <br /> structures, including the Weber Bath House Businesses are also present south of the Site, on the <br /> south side of East Weber Avenue, and include a merchandise warehouse and a restaurant <br /> 1917 <br /> In the 1917 map, the Stockton Channel is depicted the same as in the 1895 map Four structures <br /> are located on the Site The "California Transportation Co 's Freight Shed" is located in the <br /> former location of the Union Transportation Co 's freight warehouse adjacent to the north side of <br /> the channel Adjacent to the south side of the channel, the "Island Transportation Co 's Freight <br /> Sheds" are present, as well as a "Motor Boat Wharf' and "Office" South of the Site, the present <br /> location of East Weber Avenue is listed as East Weber Levee and "Industrial Tracks" <br /> (apparently railroad tracks) are present on the levee Structures are present on the south side of <br /> East Weber Levee and on the east side of North El Dorado Street No structures are shown on <br /> the north side of East Channel Street because these structures would appear on an adjacent map, <br /> which was not provided <br /> 1950 <br /> In the 1950 map, the Stockton Channel is depicted the same as in the prior two maps Five <br /> structures are present on the Site adjacent to the channel "The River Lines Boat and Motor <br /> Freight Terminal" and a separate small office are located on the north side of the channel <br /> "Freight Sheds", "Colberg Wharf', and a small office are located on the south side of the <br /> channel Structures are again present south and east of the Site Directly south of the Site is "E <br /> Weber (levee) Ave", with "Industrial Tracks" on the levee road On the northeast corner of East <br /> • <br /> -6- <br />
