McLar-ver ar art <br /> s e � <br /> Weber Avenue and North EI Dorado Street, directly south of the Site, is a gasoline station ("Gas <br /> and Oil") The gasoline station occupies the eastern half of the northern portion of that block, <br /> and is located in the current area of the parking lot south of the Site "Tire Sales and Service" is <br /> located at 130 North El Dorado Street, which corresponds to the former Goodyear facility at that <br /> address The Stockton Hotel is also present on North El Dorado Street, east of the Site <br /> 1952 <br /> The 1952 map is a realty company map which depicts the entire area of the Site {incorrectly) as <br /> the Stockton Channel No structures are shown on the Site Businesses are shown north and <br /> south of the Site On the north side of East Channel Street a liquor store, a market, and an inn are <br /> depicted The Stockton Channel is shown to extend east to Hunter Street, although this appears <br /> unlikely as the Stockton Hotel and Goodyear store are located on the block between North El <br /> Dorado Street and Hunter Street On the northeast corner of East Weber Avenue and North El <br /> Dorado Street, "Standard Stations" is depicted, which could indicate a gasoline station as was <br /> present in the 1950 map "Quality Print Shop" is present on the south side of East Weber <br /> Avenue <br /> 1972 <br /> In the 1972 map, the Stockton Channel is shown to end at North Center Street, and the Site is a <br /> parking lot Three structures are present, which represent the former Shell station ("Gas & Oil") <br /> at the northeast corner of the block Two of the structures correspond to pump island canopies, <br /> and the third feature is the station building South of the Site across East Weber Avenue, is a <br /> parking lot East of the Site, the KJOY radio station is shown, and an unlabeled structure at 130 <br /> North El Dorado is present (the location of the Goodyear facility) There is no coverage <br /> provided north of the Site <br /> Citv Directory Review <br /> Polk City Directories were reviewed at the main branch of the Stockton Public Library for the <br /> years 1871-1872, 1891, 1900, 1911, 1921, 1928, 1932, 1937, 1942, 1947, 1952, 1957, 1962, <br /> 1972, 1982, and 1991 Addresses for North El Dorado Street (100-200), North Center Street <br /> (100-200), East Channel Street (0-100), and East Weber Avenue (0-100) were reviewed <br /> Findings of potential environmental significance are listed below <br /> • <br /> -7- <br />
