Background-information and analytical <br /> results of soil and ground water samples collected at the Gateway Project are summarized in the <br /> Limited Soil and Groundwater Investigation dated 18 April 2000 and prepared by Condor. The <br /> Limited Soil and Groundwater Investigation is presented in Appendix B. <br /> � t <br /> 3.0. SCOPE OF WORK l -A�aAD� <br /> AGE proposes to install two intermediate ground water monitoring w is(Hydrologic Unit 2:HU2) <br /> and one deep ground water monitoring well (Hydrologic Unit 3: U3) off-site of the 308 South <br /> El Dorado Street, Stockton, CA site, to assess the lateral and vertical extent of petroleum <br /> hydrocarbon-impacted soil and ground water.The proposed well locations are illustrated in Figure 2. <br /> The assessment activities will consist of the following tasks: <br /> • Permitting and pre-field work activities; <br /> • Pilot soil boring and soil sample collection; <br /> • Monitoring well installation and development; <br /> • Ground water sample collection; and <br /> • Report of Findings. <br /> r' <br /> 3.1. PERMITTING AND PRE-FIELD WORK ACTIVITIES <br /> Applicable boring permits will be obtained.from the EHD for all off-site boring locations. <br /> Additionally, a revocable permit and then an encroachment permit will be obtained from the City <br /> of Stockton Public Works Department.An update to the health and safety plan presently on-file will <br /> be prepared in accordance with Occupational Safety,and Health Guidance Manual for Hazardous <br /> Waste Site Activities(National Institute for Occupational Safety and Health Administration,U.S. <br /> Coast Guard and U.S. Environmental Protection Agency, 1985). Prior to mobilization, the area of <br /> excavation will be clearly marked and a utility clearance obtained through Underground Service <br /> Alert. / <br /> Advanced GeoEnvironmental,Inc. <br />
