I
I
18 June 2010
AGE-NC Project No. 95-0135
3.4. GROUND WATER SAMPLING AND ANALYSIS
Ground water sampling activities for the newly installed monitoring wells will be conducted at least
(72 hours after monitoring well development. Sampling activities will include recording depth to
ground water measurements and collection of ground water samples for laboratory analysis by a
CDPH-certified laboratory for the-analytes noted in SectionGround water sample collection
p
protocols
are described in "ection 3.4
i
3.5. PREPARATION OF REPORT OF FINDINGS
Following the installation of the wells and collection of ground water samples, a report will be
prepared presenting the findings. The report will include a description of work performed and the
results of the soil and ground water sampling and analysis. Laboratory reports for-soil and ground-
water an testing methods, laboratory QA/QC reports, and sample chain' of custody
documentation will be presented in the report. Conclusions and recommendations will also be
included, if applicable. The report will be in a format acceptable to the CVRWQCB, and will be
reviewed and signed by a California Professional Geologist.
I
I
4.0. FIELD PROCEDURES
All field procedures will be overseen by an AGE representative under the supervision of a California
Professional Geologist. Procedures for well installation, development, and sampling are described
below.
E
4.1. DRILLING AND SOIL SAMPLING /0/6
I
Two pilot soil borings will be advanced off-site to proposed depths of 65 feet b g (HU2) and one
pilot soil boring will be advanced off-site to a proposed depth of 120 feet bsg( 3). Borings will
be advanced utilizing a truck-mounted hollow-stem drill rig with 8.25-inch diameter hollow-stem
augers. Soil samples will be collected from the proposed HU3 soil boring and the proposed HU2 soil
boring to the west of the site, at five-foot intervals beginning at 15 feet bsg. Relatively undisturbed
soil samples will-be collected in the borings using a California modified split-spoon sampler fitted
with 2-inch diameter, 6-inch long stainless steel sleeves. Upon removal from the sampler, sample
sleeves will be separated, exposed ends of a selected sleeve will be covered with Teflon sheets,
capped and sealed with tape.
I
Advanced GeoEnvironmental,Inc.
I
I
