GROUND WATER SAMPLING AND ANALYSIS
Following the installation of the new monitoring wells, ground water monitoring and sampling
activities will be conducted for all of the wells on a quarterly basis.for a minimum of one year(four
sampling events);monitoring activities will include recording depth to ground water measurements
and collection of ground water samples for laboratory analysis by a DHS-certified laboratory for the
analytes noted in Section 3.2.
E 3.5. PREPARATION OF REPORT OF FINDINGS
a
Following each ground water monitoring event, a quarterly report will be prepared presenting the
s findings. Each report will include a description of work performed and the results of the ground .
water sampling and analysis. Laboratory reports for ground water analysis, testing methods,
{ laboratory QA/QC reports, and sample chain of custody documentation will be presented in the
quarterly report. Conclusions and recommendations will also be included,if applicable. The report
will be in a format acceptable to the CVRWQCB, and will be reviewed and signed by a California
Professional Geologist.
V
4.0. FIELD PROCEDURES
w
All field procedures will be overseen by an AGE representative under the supervision of a California
t Professional Geologist. Procedures for the well installation, development, and sampling are
described below.
f
4.1. PILOT SOIL BORING
Utilizing a CME-95 or CME-75HT truck-mounted,hollow-stem drill rig equipped with 8.25-inch f
. diameter hollow-stem augers, one pilot soil boring will be advanced to a depth of 45 feet bsg(HU1),
three pilot soil borings will be advanced to a depth of 65 feet bsg(HU2),and three pilot borings will 3 x
be advanced to a depth of 120 feet bsg (HU3). No soil samples will be collected from the HU3 3.X VU
boring between MW-1 and MW-2 due to proximity with previous CPT boring locations, or from
borings co-located with deeper borings for HU3 wells. For the remaining soil borings, relatively
un Istur a soil samples will be col ected at 5-foot intervals using a California modified split-spoon
sampler fitted with 2-inch diameter, 6-inch long brass sleeves.Upon removal from the sampler, the
sample sleeves will be separated with a knife. The exposed ends of the second sleeve will be covered
V with Teflon sheets, capped; and sealed with tape. Soils sampled in the borings will be visually
classified by an AGE geologist in accordance with the Unified Soil Classification System(USCS).
Advanced GeoEnvironmental,Inc.
r
V
