4i� r 23 April 2002 AGE-NC Protect No 95-0142 Page 10 of 16 3 11 PROGRESS/CONFIRMATION SOIL SAMPLING After approximately 12 months of operation or when efficiency of the SVE unit has significantly declined, soil samples will be collected from the "core" area of petroleum hydrocarbon impacts at the site Analytical results of soil samples will serve to estimate the remaining petroleum hydrocarbon mass and concentration and to determine if continuing remedial operation is necessary Soil samples will be analyzed by a DHS-certified laboratory for the following constituents • Total petroleum hydrocarbons quantified as gasoline and diesel (TPH-g and TPH-d, respectively) in accordance with EPA Method 8015 Modified, • BTEX and MTBE in accordance with EPA Method 8020 and • Fuel oxygenates,including MTBE,tertiary-butyl alcohol(TBA),di-isopropyl ether(DIPE), ethyl tertiary-butyl ether(ETBE) and tertiary-amyl methyl ether(TAME),by EPA Method 8260 Laboratory reports for soil analysis, testing methods, laboratory quality assurance/quality control (QA/QC) reports, and sample chain of custody documentation will be presented in a report with findings and recommendations 4.0.
