i
SYSTEM E,4R-NVVGS
' The ECAT Oxidizer utilizes high temperatures, high voltaguses and flammable vapors
nn
to operate. All personnel operating the SCAT Oxidizer t be fully trained in the
operation and mama pnance of the system as well as the safety devices provided with
' the system.
1. Do not attempt to bypass any of the safety interlocks provided with the omdizer
in an attempt to operate the oxidizer.
2. Do not modify or bypass the transformers, fuse blocks, or controllersn Order to
make the system operational,
' the oxidizer in order to make the oxidizer
3. Do not remove any equipment from
operational.
4. Keep all body parts clear of the exhaust static, heat exchanger piping, oxidizer
' chamber, air intake valves and moving parts due to burns from high
temperature conditions and severe bodily injury situations that can occur as a
result of body contact with these parts.
5. Do not restnet, block or close the exhaust stack during operation.
6. Disconnect incoming voltage to the oxidizer control panel before attempting to
worm on the panel or other electrical components on the oxidizer. Use a voltage
' meter to determine that the power is off. Have only qualified personnel work on
the e'lectneal components, preferably a qualified electneian.
7. leo not operate the oxidizer above 1150' F. Make sure that the High Limit
' Controller set point is set at 1150'F or less before beginning operation.
S. Connect the systems auto dram discharge plumbing to an acceptable storage
container prior to placing the liquid drain system in the "Auto" position. Unsafe
liquid discharge can occur from improper use of the auto drain system.
1
