- Chevron/S. £1 Dorado 20
August 1990
To investigate the condition of groundwater beneath the
- site, three groundwater-monitoring wells were installed.
Groundwater was encountered under semi-confined conditions at
approximately 47-feet below grade. Subsequent groundwater
monitoring and wellhead Elevation surveying indicated a
hydrostatic depth-to-water of 40 feet, a groundwater gradient of
0.02 ft/ft, and a groundwater-flow direction to the northwest.
Analytical results of groundwater samples collected from the
newly installed and developed monitoring wells indicated that the
groundwater has been impacted by gasoline hydrocarbons.
Concentrations of TFH-as-gasoline in the groundwater samples
- ranged from MDL to 1,500 ppm. Concentrations of benzene ranged
from MAL to 890 ppm. Soil samples collected from the capillary .
fringe in the borings for the monitoring wells (MW-1E, MW-2F, and
MW-3E) did not contain measurable concentrations of gasoline
hydrocarbons.
- CLOSURE
Groundwater Technology, Inc. is pleased to provide Chevron
U.S.A.
