Si,a Contrcaluatlam Ilorkglaa
O.Z.S. -Stockton Plating raa.
.: Laboratory analyses indicated that gasoline and gasoline
constituents (,TEX) were, detected in the soil samples. Total
petroleum hydrocarbons (Teff-C) were detected at 3300 mg/kg, and
2800 mg/kg. Various concentrations of benzene, toluene, ethyl
les, Tetraeth
benzene, and xylene welfe detected in both samples. y
lead (TEL) and ethyl dibromide (EDB) were not detected in the
soil samples.
Condor
recommended that a minimum of four toil borings be yY:
drilled around the TKI-90 site to irivestigate the vertical and
ho;•izontal :extent of gasoline contamination. Samples would be
collected at 5-foot intervals and used forgSolo e loggingand
g
laboratory analyses. The soil borings would be drilled to at
Leas*_ 5 feet below the field detected contamination, or to the
capillary fringe above the water table (Tan:: Pull Testing
Results, Stockton Plating Inc., 104 E. Scott Street, prepared by
Condor Earth Technologies Inc., January 2, 2990).
The San Joaquin County Environmental_ uil Health Department .
approved placement of the
proposed soil borings around the TK1-90
site and at the same time requested that
dditionai investigation
be conducted at the TRI-86 site. Therefore, two additional soil
borings are to be placed around former tank site TKI-sib for a
total of six soil borings. — - -
CONDOR
