HSP-004 EMERGENCY EVACUATION AND CONTINGENCY PROGRAM <br /> 1.0 POLICY <br /> Emergency Response, Evacuation, and Contingency Program is prepared in accordance with OSHA 29 <br /> CFR 1926.35 and 8 CCR 3220. The company site is required to include an "Emergency Action Program" <br /> as protection from severe weather, fires, explosions, and/or release of hazardous materials <br /> 2.0 OBJECTIVE <br /> The objective of this Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) is to establish Emergency Response (ER) and <br /> evacuation guidelines for emergency conditions. Emergency conditions that may be anticipated during <br /> work activities include, but not limited to: <br /> ■ Fires involving combustible materials <br /> ■ Medical and/or traumatic emergencies <br /> ■ Release of hazardous materials <br /> ■ Severe Weather <br /> 3.0 RESPONSIBILITY <br /> The responsibility for the management of emergencies occurring resides with the onsite manager or <br /> identified Competent Person. <br /> 4.0 EMERGENCY SUPPLIES <br /> At a minimum,the following supplies shall be immediately available onsite: <br /> ■ First aid equipment and supplies (in compliance with 29 CFR 1910.151 and 1926.50) <br /> ■ Emergency eyewash kit(per ANSI Z-358.1) <br /> ■ Spill control material and equipment <br /> ■ Type A-B-C fire extinguisher, 10 Ib. capacity, minimum of two (2) per building/site <br /> 5.0 CONTINGENCY PLAN EXECUTION <br /> In the event an emergency situation should arise while performing on site activities for a client, <br /> employees shall follow client procedures. Be prepared to give the following basic information when <br /> calling the client representative and senior management staff to report emergencies: <br /> ■ Your name and telephone number <br /> ■ Description of the emergency <br /> ■ Exact location of the emergency <br /> ■ Emergency resources needed to manage the situation <br /> ■ Any other pertinent information <br /> P.
