(AGE)
APPROVED (with conditions. See below)
ADDENDUM X Submit by : October 1 2007
ADEQUATE AND NECESSARY ELEMENTS OF THE WORKPLAN (H&S
25296.10,subd. (c) (3) .):
1 . Advancement of six soil borings to collect of soil and groundwater samples to further define
the vertical and lateral extent of impacted ground water.
COMMENTS AND CONDITIONS:
1 . Initial grab water samples should be collected from the coarse grained unit commonly
occurring at approximately 40 feet bgs, locally at 35 feet.
2. Soil samples should be collected to confine the lithology from which ground water samples
are collected.
REASONS FOR DISAPPROVAL OF THE WORKPLAN (H&S 25296.10 subd. (C) (3).):
1 . As discussed by telephone with Advanced GeoEnvironmental (AGE) on June 1, 2007, it
was agreed that the proposed shallow soil borings (30 to 40 feet deep) and groundwater
samples from fine-grained soil are not likely to be adequate to define vertical extent of
contamination. Deeper borings on-site should be advanced to complete the vertical
investigation. Submit a workplan addendum for deeper groundwater characterization on-site
by October 1 , 2007. Also, installation of additional ground water monitoring wells toward
the east may be needed.
DATED It awl BYE(Lai*,
c: CRWQCB, Central Valley Region —James L.L.
