N
20 August 2009
AGE-NC Project No . 064457
Therefore, AGE proposes to install water table monitoring wells to 40 feet bsg, approximately 50
feet southwest of well MW- 1 to monitoring the up-gradient extent of the plume, and approximately
25 feet southeast of monitoring well MW-3, to monitor the plume's off-site encroachment. AGE
proposes to install ground water monitoring wells near well MW-2 and CPT-2 to approximate depths
of 80 feet bsg (approximately 10 feet northeast of MW-2) and 105 feet bsg (approximately 10 feet
south of MW-2). AGE proposes to install two additional 80 feet bsg wells approximately 25 feet
southeast of well MW-3 , and off-site, approximately 125 feet east of well MW4, which will allow
for a ground water flow evaluation at the deeper depth (80 feet bsg).
Boring locations are shown on Figure 2. Historical analytical results of quarterly ground water
samples are summarized in Table 1 ; analytical results of grab ground water samples are summarized
in Table 2.
The proposed scope of work will include the following tasks :
• Permitting and pre-field work activities;
• Boring advancements, monitoring well installation and sampling; and
• Report preparation.
Each of these tasks is described in greater detail below.
2. 1 . PRE-FIELD WORK ACTIVITIES
Applicable site assessment permits will be obtained from the EHD and an encroachment permit will
be obtained from the City of Stockton for the proposed off-site well. In addition, a health and safety
plan will be updated in accordance with Occupational Safety and Health Guidance Manual for
Hazardous Waste Site Activities (National Institute for Occupational Safety and Health
Administration, U.S . Coast Guard and U. S . Environmental Protection Agency, 1985). Prior to
mobilization, each proposed boring location will be clearly marked and an utility clearance obtained
through Underground Service Alert.
2 .2, MONITORING WELL INSTALLATION
AGE proposes to install two water table (approximately 40 feet bsg) wells, three wells to a depth of
approximately 80 feet bsg, and one deep screened monitoring well to a depth of approximately 105
feet bsg. The location of the proposed monitoring wells are illustrated on Figure 2 .
Advanced GeoEnviranmental, Inc.
