The DPE pilot test specifications are presented in Section 4. 1 . and 4.2. AGE proposes to use extraction well EW-1 (35 feet to 55 feet bsg) and similar screened monitoring wells MW4 and MW-3 (30 to 55 feet bsg) for collection of ground water and soil vapor samples. Monitoring wells MW- 1 through MW4, and VW- 1 through VW-4 (15 feet to 35 feet bsg) will be used as "observation" wells. Vapor extraction wells (VW- 1through VW-4) have a shallow screened interval ( 15 feet to 35 feet bsg) and no significant indication of impacted soil in samples collected during well installations. 3 .3 . GROUND WATER SAMPLE COLLECTION AND ANALYSIS AGE proposes to perform a quarterly ground water monitoring prior to performance ofthe DPE pilot test, in order to establish a value of dissolved concentrations within the UST excavation (EW4). Ground water monitoring activities will include recording depth to ground water measurements and collection of ground water samples for laboratory analysis. Ground water sample monitoring and sampling procedures are presented in Appendix C. Ground water samples will be analyzed by a California Department of Public Health Services (CDPHS)-certified laboratory for the following constituents: • Total petroleum hydrocarbons quantified as gasoline (TPH-g) and in accordance with EPA Method 8015 Modified; and • Volatile organic compounds (benzene, toluene, ethyl benzene and xylenes: BTEX) and fuel oxygenates including methyl tert-butyl ether (MTBE), tertiary-butyl alcohol (TBA), di-isopropyl ether (DIPE), ethyl tertiary-butyl ether (ETBE), tertiary-amyl methyl ether (TAME), ethylene-dibromide (EDB) and 1 ,2-Dichloroethane ( 1 ,2-DCA) by EPA Method 8260. Laboratory reports for the ground water analyses, testing methods, laboratory quality assurance/quality control (QA/QC) reports, and sample chain of custody documentation will be presented in the report of findings discussed in Section 3 .4. 3 .4, PREPARATION OF REPORT OF FINDINGS Following the DPE pilot test field activities a report will be prepared presenting the findings.
