(AGE), for interim clean up of soil and
dissolved contamination from underground storage tanks (UST) formerly located at
2057 South EI Dorado Street, Stockton, has been reviewed by San Joaquin County
Environmental Health Department (EHD). The work plan proposed installing a soil
vapor extraction / in-situ air sparging system to reduce the mass of the contamination
source existing in the sub-surface soil and in the groundwater.
EHD has rrlade a tentative determination that the plan is in compliance with California
Health & Safety Code Chapter 6.7, Section 25299.37 and California Code of
Regulations Corrective Action Requirements, and that the resultant work will not create
significant adverse environmental impacts which exceed the benefits to be gained from
cleanup of the contamination.
The remediation plan is available for public review at EHD, 304 E. Weber Avenue, 3rd
Floor, Stockton during normal working hours, 8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. Final EHD
approval for the plan is scheduled for July 7, 2006.
Questions regarding specific site concerns or procedures should be directed to Jeffrey
Wong of EHD at 209-468-0335.
