i
22 May 2013
AGE Project No . 11 - 1847
format ( EDF) files of the laboratory analytical results will be submitted to the State of
California GeoTracker database.
2 .4 . CONTINGENT MONITORING WELL INSTALLATION
Once a target depth of 100 feet below surface grade (bsg ) has been achieved , one deep
groundwater monitoring well may be installed at the boring location to further assess the
vertical extent of the hydrocarbon plume . A determination will be made in the field based
on soil samples and grab groundwater sample collected . The construction of the well will
also be determined in the field at the direction of SJCEHD and based on field findings
during the advancement of the deep boring .
Procedures for the contingent well installation and completion are presented in Sections
3 .2 . and 3 . 3 .
2.4 . 1 . Well Development and Survey
Following installation , the proposed well will be developed to maximize water flow and
minimize the amount of fine-grained sediment drawn into the well during pumping or
bailing . After development, elevation and location of all wells will be surveyed by a
professional surveyor. Procedures for development and survey are presented in
Section 3 .4.
2 .4 . 2 . Groundwater Sampling and Analysis
Following installation , groundwater monitoring and sampling activities will be conducted for
the proposed well on a quarterly basis for a minimum of one year (four sampling events).
Monitoring activities will include recording depth to groundwater measurements and
collection of groundwater samples for laboratory analysis by a CDPH-certified laboratory
for contaminants listed in Section 2 . 3 . Groundwater sample collection protocols are
described in Section 3 . 5.
2 . 5 , REPORT PREPARATION
Upon completion of initial field work and receipt of final laboratory analysis, a report will be
prepared presenting findings of the investigation . Additionally, following each quarterly
monitoring event, a quarterly groundwater monitoring report will be prepared presenting
Advanced GeoEnvironmental, Inc.
