El Dorado Street, Stockton, CA
Dear Mr. Wong:
In your August 1, 2000 correspondence to Mr. Stephen Valentine you directed that a work plan be submitted for
the above site by August 25, 2000. The purpose of the required work plan is to define the vertical extent of the
groundwater plume in the former dispenser location.
Geological Technics Inc. (GTI) developed a work plan to meet this requirement dated August 23, 2000 —
"Vertical Definition Work Plan". Our work plan was sent to you via facsimile on August 24, 2000, and a hard
copy was sent via certified mail with a returned receipt indicating the delivery of the work plan to your office on
' August 29, 2000: To date, we have not received any comment on the work plan.
The groundwater plume has not been defined vertically nor has it been defined beyond the property boundaries.
It is certain to have migrated'to an unknown extent since monitoring began in June, 1995. Further delay on this
project will increase the potential risk to human health and the environment.
On behalf of Mr. Valentine, and in accordance with the California Health and Safety Code, Sections 25299.37(c)
(3) & 25299.37 (c) (6) (A), we respectively request that you review the work plan, issue a notice of approval or
disapproval, and facilitate obtaining USTCFP pre-approval for corrective action costs.
Please call me at(209) 538-6424 if you have any questions.
Respectfully Submitted,
GeofogicdTechnics Inc:
Joseph D.
