The
results were as follows:
Well PCE TCE Screen Interval
MW1 460 12 55-70
MW101 ND 4.3 92-07
MW2 280 28 44-64
MW201 12 0.62
MW3 ND ND 40-60
MW4 18 ND 35-55
MW5 ND ND 35-55
MW6 80 40 35-55
MW7 42 ND 37-38
MW1 07 90 1.4 59-60
MW207 720 14 78-79
MW307 ND 11 89-90
MW8 ND 1400 41-42
MW1 08 3.3 20
MW208 100 87 76-77
MW308 ND 15 89-90
MW9 38 ND 44-45
MW1 09 51 1.1 69-70
MW209 37 0.9 79-80
MW309 1 4.3 93-94
These wells are quite variable in depth and screen interval, and I think the 1-footers are actually 0.5-footers. In my
review this morning I could not find any discussion by Ray Kablano regarding the PCE/TCE, but I might have just
missed it. The Shell site across the street at 2320 N. EI Dorado Street attributed the chlorinated compounds to a
former dry cleaner on their site with the former address of 2326 N. EI Dorado Street in the early sixties, but the
Shell site is in the general down-gradient direction. The distribution of the PCE/TCE is a bit odd with the highest
concentration in MW207(720 ppb) being across the street north of the subject site; on the Shell site in subject site
well MW208, 100 ppb PCE was detected.
An earlier sampling event of MW1 (10/3/94) detected no PCE at a detection limit of 0.5ppb.
That's the data as I found it. Thoughts?
Nuel
From: Barton, Jim@Waterboards [mailto:jim.barton@waterboards.ca.gov]
Sent: Monday, April 07, 2014 8:49 AM
To: Nuel Henderson [EH]
Cc: Adrienne Ellsaesser [EH]
Subject: RE: Sites to Discuss with Jim Barton in April
Hi Nuel and Adrienne,
reviewed the groundwater data and it appears acceptable for petroleum hydrocarbons, metals, and
4/7/2014
