The information will also be available for preparation <br /> of a request for funding from the State of California, Department of Water Resources, Regional <br /> Water Quality Control Board's UST Cleanup Fund. <br /> 9. 0 HEALTH AND SAFETY <br /> A health and safety plan to support the field work has been developed as a stand alone document <br /> (Appendix B) . Prior to commencement of field activities, a site safety meeting will be held at a <br /> designated command post near the working area. Emergency procedures will be outlined at this <br /> meeting. Also the hazards of known or suspected chemicals of interest will be reviewed. Level <br /> D personal protective equipment (PPE) is the anticipated maximum protection required. A site <br /> specific health and safety (H & S) plan that conforms to Part 1910. 120 (i)(2) of 29 CFR will be <br /> on site at all times during the course if the work. <br /> A working area will be established with barricades and warning tape to delineate the work area <br /> in which PPE must be worn. If, during drilling, fuel product odors are deemed to be significant, <br /> work will cease and the area will be evacuated, or personnel will don the appropriate respirators <br /> to allow continuation of work in a safe manner. <br /> A nearby hospital will be designated in the H & S plan as the emergency medical facility.
