4
Additional Assessment &SVE Feasibility Testing Work Plan - June 2008
PACIFIC PRIDE - SOUTH EL DORADO
3147 South El Dorado Street, Stockton, California
1.0. INTRODUCTION
Advanced GeoEnviromnental, Inc (AGE) has prepared this workplan for performance of soil vapor
extraction (SVE) feasibility pilot study at 3147 South El Dorado Street, Stockton, California (site);
additionally, the work plan includes the installation of one additional ground water monitoring well
to assess ground water-impact southeast of the site. The scope of work includes (1 ) installation of
one ground water monitoring well, (2) installation of three soil vapor extraction (SVE) wells, (3)
performance of an 8-hour soil vapor extraction pilot test, and (4) preparation of a report of findings
with recommendations. The location of the site is illustrated on Figure 1 . A plan of the site is
illustrated on Figure 2.
AGE previously made recommendations (Site Conceptual Madel, dated 10 May 2007) to the San
Joaquin County Environmental Health Department (SJCat a field scale pilot test should be
performed at the site to evaluate feasibility of SVE. O s March 2008, the SJCEHD approved
AGE' s recommendation for an SVE pilot test and directed by letter that a workplan for an SVE pilot
test and additional ground water assessment southeast of the site be submitted to the SJCEHD for
review (Appendix A).
The purpose of this work plan is to detail the installation of one ground water monitoring well, three
SVE wells and performance of an SVE pilot test at the site. This work plan has been prepared in
accordance with guidelines issuedbythe California Regional Water Quality Control Board - Central
Valley Region (RWQCB) for investigation of underground storage tank (UST) sites. A summary of
previous investigations at the site was included in the AGE-prepared Site Conceptual Model, dated
10 May 2007,
2.0. SCOPE OF WORK
Based on historic results of soil and ground water monitoring data collected from the site, AGE
proposes to install one ground water monitoring well (MW- 13) within the turn lane on South El
Dorado Street,, and three—SV) wells-(VW=1 ,—VW 2 and VW:3) inthe vicinity of the e- ` g UST
area; the proposed well locations are depicted on Figure 2. rrner—
Following installation of the above SVE wells, AGE proposes to conduct one, 8-hour SVE pilot test
at the site; SVE pilot testing will be conducted from a selected SVE well (screened 10 to 30 feet).
Drilling and SVE pilot test activities will consist of the following tasks :
• Permitting and pre-field work activities;
Advanced GccEnvironmen[al, Inc.
