The following is a plan for the <br /> excavation and remediadon of the contaminated soil. <br /> 3 <br /> 2.0 SM DESCR MONAND WSTORY <br /> The facility is located at 4004 Eldorado in Stockton, California (Figure I & 2). The <br /> property is fronted on HWY 50 and backed by the Southern Pacific main line. The } <br /> work area is in the northwest corner of the property approximately SO feet from the <br /> west property line. <br /> 1 SEMCO, a licensed underground storage tank removal company, removed (5) five fuel <br /> ran <br />{ ks on May 30, 1990 (Appendix A). At that time, soil samples were taken <br /> (Appendix B). <br /> * 3.0 CONTAMNANT,DISTRIBUTION �. <br /> t , <br /> Contamination was discovered under the south end of tank #2, the south end of tank <br /> #3, the north and south ends of tank #4, and the west end of tank #5 (Figure 3). The <br /> soil sampled under tank 111;was non-detect. <br /> Additional soil was excavated to 17 feat beneath the east end of tank #5, and a soil <br /> sample taken <br /> p (Lab I.D. L1517010). The lab results at 17 feet were non-detect. <br /> 1 <br /> 4.0 PROPOSED RE=0fCAVA770N <br /> The excavation will consist of the removal of approximately 2,I00 cubic yards (Figures <br /> 3, 4, & 5). Surface discoloradon was found east of the fuel island, and this anx will <br /> be incorporated into the excavanon. The area of excavation was positioned according <br /> to the sample locations (Figure 4) and will be accomplished by conventional methods to <br /> I � <br />
