Dunng the site inspection on January 22, 1990, the tower was inspected by
the writer and water samples from the system collected.
' The inspection of the tower revealed that the tower itself was in nerd of proper
servncing and a thorough cleaning inside as well as outside.
' The results of the water sampling in accordance with the states AB 1803 Drinking
Water Criteria and analyzed under the same indicates that the water supplied by the
domestic water well at this site IM = ex=W any of the maximum con=wmte
levels established it state entenz set forth in Title 22 standards or AB 1803
' standards (Appendix A). Bacteriological analysis should be conducted agwn after
sentcing and chlorination occurs.
Flood Control Outfall (Grab Sample)
' The flood control collection system and outfall area were a concern of the writer
not because of the disrepair of the system itself but due to the location of some of
the inlets and that the plants two (2) boilers also discharge the blowdown water to
' this outfall.
' Two (2) inlets are located around the fuel station at this facility, The logon of the
inlet will allow any surface spillage of fuel products to enter flus collection system
and discharge from the outfall to the run off area at the south end of the fac b y
' (Figure 4).
Currently the boilers, pellet mills and plant compressor discharges to the flood
' control collection system which discharges to the run off area. It is not an
acceptable practice to discharge boiler blowdown to the surface or nature surface
water run off.
1
