Tracy Material Recovery&Transfer Station SPCC Plan
strategic locations throughout the site, as shown on the map. Wash water collected from the
vehicle wash rack flows to an oil-water separator system and is recirculated. Drainage from the
solid waste transfer pit is collected via sump and stored in an onsite tank before being
discharged to the septic system. Due to its location in a subsurface, abandoned aggregate
mine, there is no discharge of surface water from the site.
Nearly all of the petroleum storage tanks and containers are located indoors or under cover;the
onsite fueling station is in open air.
2.5 Person Accountable for Spill Prevention
Oil pollution prevention regulations stipulate that each facility must have a designated person
who is accountable for oil spill prevention who reports to line management, per 40 CFR
§1 12.7(e)(1 0)(ii).
