1. The off-site TPHg plume has not been laterally or vertically deffned.
A workplan has been developed to define the offsite lateral and vertical extent of the TPHg plume,
see"Workplan For Vertical And Lateral Extent Sampling Downgradient of MW12", dated February
20, 2001.
2. The concentrations of TPHg in off-site monitoring well MW-12 are increasing,
while TPHg in on-site wells are decreasing
The above-mentioned workplan address this concern and defines the leading edge and degradation
of the TPHg plume downgradient of MW12.
3. The status of a domestic water supply well southeast of the site has not been
determined.
Figure 2 shows wells located within 2000 feet of R603 Two domestic wells were identified by
file search during the original Site Assessment Their actual status was field checked on January
15, 2001. A WEGE geologist visited both addresses, 538 Marengo Avenue and 755 Porter
Avenue 538 Marengo Avenue was former address 528 Marengo Ave The present owner, Mr.
Wendell Phillips, confirmed that the well in question was abandoned (destroyed) before 1986 and
the abandoned (destroyed) well location was verified 755 Porter Avenue is a rental property
owned by Mr. and Mrs Doctor of 1140 West Benjamin Holt, Stockton, CA 95207. Mrs Doctor
was present during the site visit and verified that the well in question "was properly destroyed at
least 10 years ago" The abandoned (destroyed)well location was verified.
Well 1 (destroyed) as shown on Figure 2 is cross gradient and south of the site, located at 755
Porter Avenue Groundwater monitoring well MW7 is situated between this well and the R603
TPHg plume and is below laboratory lower detection limits.
Well 2 (destroyed) located at 528 Marengo Avenue is cross gradient and directly down gradient of
Canepa's Car Wash, located at 6230 Pacific Avenue. Groundwater well MWS Ls situated between
this well and the R603 TPHg plume and is below laboratory lower detection limits.
Well 3, is a (destroyed) municipal well and is upgradient of the site. This well was destroyed
because of the dry cleaner solvent plume located beneath Lincoln Village Shopping Center
4. The groundwater has not been monitored for all fuel oxygenates and fuel
additives.
During the December 1997 monitoring round, San Joaquin County Health requested that the fuel
additives Di-isopropyl Ether (RIPE), Ethyl tert-Butyl Ether (ETBE), Methyl-tert-Butyl Ether
(MTBE), tert-Amyl Methyl Ether (TAME) and tert-Butanol (TB) be tested for. All wells tested
01) below laboratory detection limits for the fuel oxygenants, with the exception of MW-11, which
3 8-603 ,fan 2001
