Tanks and supplies have been ordered by SEMCO for the tank installation and
should arrive the first of December. Our tentative starting date for this work is 11 December
1989.
The soil remediation work plan will begin first by enlarging the existing excavation and
stockpiling this material on the back part of the property. Soil samples will then be collected
from the side walls. Cround water may be pumped from the excavation and containerized until
treated and disposed In the city waste water treatment system (a permit is iming obtained).
The excavation will then be backfilled and compacted with soil from the new tank excavation.
This soil will be tested before being placed in the old excavation.
The sbockpiIed soil wit!be composite sampled and analyzed for petroleum hydrocarbons. The
results of this testinj wilt help determine the soil treatment method used at this site.
If you have any questions regarding this work schedule or work plan, please contact me.
Sincerely
rN co- k0'Wt4k)
Raynold I.
