Y Former Discovery Chevrolet February 10,1998
I ,
Tracy.California Letter Addendum to Work Plan
equipment directly atop the location of the former dispenser, the GeoProbe® equipment
will be placed as physically close as possible to that location.
4) A boring through-the former pipeline [location] near SB [location] and determine .
vertical definition below groundwater. The proposed boring location that had been,.
situated approximately 15 feet north of the former pipeline will be drilled through the:
location of the former pipeline near the location of the hand-a_ugered soil boring SB. If
we are unable to place the GeoProbe equipment directly atop the location of the
former pipeline, the GeoProbe equipment will be placed as physically close as-
possible
spossible to the north side of that location.
5) Soil samples shall be collected until both the following conditions are met: a) the-
boring depth reaches below groundwater level and b) field-screening with a portable
organic vapor meter (OVM) indicates two consecutive sapling intervals where no
petroleum hydrocarbons are present. Field screening'with the.OVM will be performed
to evaluate whether the hydrocarbons are actually present within the. soil samples
collected beneath the groundwater surface, or have impacted the sample tools upon
their passing through the groundwater surface.
6) Water samples from all borings in order to provide subsurface hydrocarbons contour
data. All six proposed GeoProbe® soil boring locations will be changed to proposed
i
Hydropunce locations for a total of nine proposed GeoProbeOD/Hydropunce locations
at the site.
The proposed work has been tentatively scheduled for February 19 and 20, 1998. The drilling
contractor will be V &_W Drilling of Rio Vista, California. Enclosed with this letter is a the
completed SJCPHS/EHD Application for Well/Pump Permit and check for the proposed.
drilling fees. -
i _ !
F
i
t
0210jwon 2 HORIZON ENVIRONMENTAL INC:
