This letter <br /> serves as official notice that the proposed group care home project does not conform to the <br /> Manteca General Plan land use pattern designated for this land area. The Plan designates this <br /> property and others in the area for Light Industrial land use, and Commercial land use along the <br /> easterly side of Airport Way, <br /> Also, Manteca is presently finalizing a specific plan for properties along this segment of Airport <br /> Way, south of Yosemite Avenue. The proposed project does not comfort to the specific plan <br /> land use pattern, as well. The specific plan designates this property and others in the area for <br /> Light Industrial land use, and Commercial land use along the easterly side of Airport Way. <br /> Finally, in advance of other planning efforts in this area, annexation proceedings have been <br /> i <br /> initiated to annex the two island areas (north and south of Yosemite Avenue)to the community. <br /> R <br /> In this regard, approval of the residential project would result in a nonconforming land use and <br /> an incompatible environmental setting.
