x ATTACH�MNT C <br /> Statement of Overriding Considerations <br /> INTRODUCTION <br /> Pursuant to State CEQA Guidelines Section 15093, and to the extent that any impacts of <br /> the project are significant and have not been mitigated to a level of insignificance, the County of <br /> San Joaquin adopts and makes the following Statement of Overriding Considerations regarding <br /> potential unavoidable significant environmental impacts of the project, as discussed in this <br /> section, and the anticipated economic, social, and other benefits or considerations of the project. <br /> GENERAL <br /> The County of San Joaquin finds that, to the extent that any impacts (including indirect and <br /> cumulative impacts)attributable to the project remain unmitigated or are considered to be <br /> unavoidable, such impacts are acceptable in fight of the overriding social, economic, and other <br /> benefits or considerations set forth in this section.. The County of San Joaquin also finds that the <br /> �1 project alternatives that would avoid.or.further mitigate the environmental effects identified by,the <br /> environmental documentation in the record are infeasible and uridesirable with respect to the <br /> project. Such alternatives would impose limitations and restrictions on the growth of the County, <br /> _ which this County finds would prohibd or limd obtaining the specific soa31 economic aixi other r <br /> benefits of considerations of the project <br /> k <br /> SOCIAL, ECONOMIC AND OTHER CONSIDERATIONS <br /> Implementation of the Arch-Sperry Specific Road Plan will result in a number of <br /> significant direct and indirect benefits to residents and businesses of the City of. <br /> Stockton and San Joaquin County, as well as out-of-the-area motorists who will use the <br /> road corridor.
