Facts in Support of the Finding: <br /> The potential for impacts on Sacramento River winter chinook salmon is discussed in Section <br /> III.F of the EIR. The measures above are designed to mitigate impacts on Sacramento River <br /> winter chinook salmon. <br /> i.Impacts on Sacramento River Fall/Late-Fall Chinook Salmon <br /> Potential Significant Impact(F.9): <br /> Construction activities in the North Branch of the South Fork of Little Johns Creek could result in <br /> significant adverse impacts to Sacramento River fall/late-fall Chinook salmon. <br /> { <br /> Finding: <br /> Based upon the analysis in the EIR,appropriate scheduling of work in Little Johns Creek and <br /> compliance with.recommendations of the National Marine Fisheries Service will make impacts <br /> on Sacramento River fall/late-fall chinook salmon less than significant. <br /> The following mitigation measure will mitigate these impacts to below a level of significance. <br /> Mitigation Measure (Impact F.9): <br /> (a) To avoid impacting Sacramento River fall/late fall chinook salmon in Little Johns <br /> i Creek, all work proposed that would impact this creek should occur in the summer , <br /> months when this salmon would not be migrating/spawning in this creek. If work must <br /> occur during the fall/winter months, the National Marine Fisheries Service (NMFS) t <br /> should be contactedfor otherpossible mitigation requirements. Further mitigationfor <br /> non-summer work would be in accordance with recommendations provided by NA-IFS. <br /> !'
