Description of the Site <br /> The existing site is one parcel, APN #203-190-06, in San Joaquin County. The total size of the <br /> parcel is 160 acres, with 138 acres currently used for farming. The addition of corrals, structures, <br /> and lagoons will remove 8 acres from the farming operation for phase on . Seven, four, and four <br /> e <br /> acres will be removed from the farming operation respectively for phases two, three, and four. <br /> Final configuration of the parcel will be 115 acres cropping fields, and 45 acres dairy production <br /> site. <br /> Surrounding parcels are all in agricultural uses. <br /> Refer to USGS Map, Appendix A. <br /> Rainfall <br /> The average annual rainfall in the area is purported to be 12 inches.25 Source derived from the <br /> National Climate Data Center (NCDC) Cooperative Stations; and the USDA National Resources <br /> Conservation Service, National Water & Climate Center. Refer to Appendix B. <br /> The 25 year, 24 hour storm event for this area is approximately 3.4".45 Refer to 25-Year, 24-Hour <br /> Isopluvial Map, Appendix B. <br /> Flood Zone <br /> The following FEMA maps were reviewed and are presented in Appendix B: <br /> • F.I.R.M. Flood Map, Community #060299, panel #0630A, revision date 5-15-80 <br /> • FEMA Flood Hazard Map <br /> Based on these maps, the dairy production site is located in the southern (central) portion of the <br /> Section 16, in the southwestern portion of the parcel with the APN 203-190-05 (see the <br /> Topographical Map and the APN Map in Appendix A) <br /> The dairy production area is located in the area designated zone C, an area with minimal flooding. <br /> Although most of the irrigation fields are also located in areas designated zone C (minimal <br /> flooding), 100-year and 500-year flood areas exist on site, north, northeast, and southwest of the <br /> dairy production area. <br /> See Page 47 for References and Bibliography <br /> ©western Dairy Design Associates, Inc.2003 <br /> Page 3 <br />
