Identify the locations that will be sampled and which types.of <br /> tests will be taken from each location. <br /> 2. Label each container that will be used for that location. Include <br /> site name, date, time, and analysis desired. <br /> 3. Document sample date, time, and analysis on Chain of Custody <br /> ,, Form. <br /> ll. 4. Take samples from the middle of the flowing water. Do not <br /> collect samples too close to the bottom, where they may be <br /> contaminated by bottom mud. Do not take samples at the <br /> ! surface, where they may be contaminated by floating material. <br /> Unpreserved Containers (No pill or powder) <br /> 1. Rinse the container with the water to be sampled, dump <br /> this rinse water. <br /> 2. Fill the sample container to as close to the brim as <br /> possible. <br /> 3.
